Rocky River Reservation

Reservation hours are 6:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m. Rocky River Nature Center is generally open daily 9:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. except listed holidays.

Numerous free lots serve separate trailheads and facilities. Route to the exact destination rather than a generic reservation pin.

Valley Parkway follows the long valley, but Berea Falls, Nature Center, Fort Hill, marina and Stinchcomb-Groth are miles apart.

Restrooms are available at the Nature Center, marina and selected picnic and golf facilities; trailhead availability varies seasonally.

General park, trails, nature center and picnic areas are free. Golf, marina services, rentals and reservations cost separately.

Developed facilities and portions of the all-purpose trail are accessible. Fort Hill has many stairs and natural trails can be steep, muddy or flooded.

Leashed dogs are welcome in ordinary park areas; keep them out of buildings, golf play and posted habitat zones.

Nature Center exhibits and HideAway Hollow, Berea Falls and gentle all-purpose trail sections are strong family choices.

The reservation spans several communities and is difficult to cover by transit; driving or cycling to a chosen destination is most practical.

Check river level and trail alerts after rain. The Rocky River is a major steelhead stream, but currents, cold water and slippery shale demand caution.

Check current Cleveland-area weather and operator alerts. Lake Erie wind and waves, heat, snow, ice and storms can close water access, paths or facilities independently.
