Schott Amphitheater

Schott Amphitheater is a distinct mapped destination within Sawyer Point and Yeatman's Cove; navigate to this point instead of the general park pin and check posted conditions on arrival.

Paid riverfront lots and downtown garages serve different segments. Festivals, fireworks, races and stadium events can close lots and roads.

Open daily 6:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m. After 9:00 p.m., visitors 17 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Seasonal facilities at east and west concessions, under the I-471 bridge and near Cincinnatus are generally listed 8:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.; portable toilets provide selected year-round coverage.

Park, trails, public art and ordinary court use are free. Parking, concessions, organized skating and special events may charge.

The main riverfront promenade is paved, but bridge grades, flood closures and event barriers can interrupt routes.

Leashed dogs are welcome on ordinary paths; keep them out of water features and active courts.

River views, art and broad paths work now, but the former playground and sprayground should not be assumed available.

Downtown Metro and streetcar service connect within walking distance; the Purple People Bridge links Newport on foot when open.
