SeaGlass Carousel

SeaGlass Carousel uses illuminated fish vehicles rather than traditional horses. Tickets cost $6 and seasonal, weather-dependent hours should be checked before arrival.

There is no park parking. Lower Manhattan garages are costly and street parking is extremely limited; subway or ferry connections are the practical choice.

SeaGlass Carousel follows its own staffed, seasonal, program, ferry, or maintenance schedule. Confirm today's availability with The Battery Conservancy and NYC Parks before making a special trip.

Public restrooms are outside the restaurant, at Castle Clinton, and near the Battery Bikeway on Battery Place, generally 9 AM-4:30 PM; ferry terminals have separate facilities.

Park entry, gardens, Playscape, and Castle Clinton entry are free. SeaGlass rides cost $6 and Statue Cruises tickets are separate.

Main promenades and Playscape routes are accessible. Ferry security, historic structures, and carousel boarding have their own procedures.

Leashed dogs are allowed on designated paths but not in playgrounds or planted areas. Follow posted rules near ferry queues and monuments.

Battery Playscape, SeaGlass Carousel, harbor views, lawns, gardens, and ferries make a strong family stop, but attraction hours do not match the full park day.

Use 1 at South Ferry, R/W at Whitehall, 4/5 at Bowling Green, or nearby J/Z. The Staten Island Ferry terminal and Governors Island ferry are close but separate.
