Ellington in the Park and the West 105th Street fields provide food, restrooms, and recreation on the lower level; use a cross-street route that reaches the correct elevation.

There is no single park lot. Street parking is limited and entrances are separated by steep grades, rail lines, and the highway; arrive near the intended cross street.

Open daily 6 AM-1 AM. Playgrounds, cafés, courts, restrooms, and programmed areas have shorter or seasonal hours.

Restrooms are distributed at Pier I, Classic, Elephant, River Run, Hippo and Dinosaur playgrounds, clay tennis courts, Ellington, Grant's Tomb area, and several northern playgrounds.

Park entry, playgrounds, lawns, gardens, and most outdoor areas are free. Tennis permits, food, rentals, and some organized programs cost extra.

The park's multiple levels and steep slopes make route selection important. Riverside Park South is broadly accessible, while some historic upper-park paths use stairs or steep ramps.

Dogs must be leashed except in designated runs or posted off-leash areas. Quiet lawns, playgrounds, sports areas, and gardens have additional restrictions.
