Muddy Creek Greenway

For developed access, use Jamison Park near 285 Meadowlark Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27106. The greenway also connects Country Club Road, Robinhood Road, schools, neighborhoods, and the Summerfield bridge.

Jamison Park provides the clearest developed trailhead with parking and facilities. Other connections are neighborhood or school access points and should not be assumed to provide public parking.

Use the greenway during posted daylight park hours. Connected parks, school areas, neighborhood connectors, construction zones, and parking lots may use separate restrictions.

General greenway access is free. Programs, nearby facilities, and private parking are separate; use public access points rather than business lots.

Plan on developed facilities at Jamison Park rather than continuous restrooms along the 2.9-mile corridor. Availability can vary seasonally and with maintenance.

The ten-foot paved trail supports many wheelchairs, mobility devices, and strollers, but grades, bridge approaches, street crossings, temporary repairs, and connector paths vary.

The completed greenway is about 2.9 miles of ten-foot pavement along Muddy Creek, passing under Robinhood Road and connecting five neighborhood routes, Jamison Park, and nearby schools.

A short out-and-back from Jamison Park combines a playground and developed facilities with the paved greenway. Teach children to keep right and stop clear of faster users.

Leashed dogs are allowed under City greenway rules. Keep leashes short around bicycles and other users, and remove waste.

Use Jamison Park for picnic and gathering space rather than blocking the greenway. Organized trail events require City approval.

Connections include Jamison Park, Country Club Road, Robinhood Road, Jefferson Elementary, Meadowlark schools, Cedar Trail, Century Oaks, Lantern Ridge, Stonebridge, Summerfield, and Brooks Landing.

Flooding, creek erosion, bridge work, utility projects, and pavement repairs can close or detour sections. Check City greenway notices before depending on it as a continuous route.
