Hanes Park

1406 Northwest Boulevard, Winston-Salem, NC 27104. The park borders Reynolds High School, Wiley Middle School, the Central YMCA, and West End neighborhood streets.

Use 1406 Northwest Boulevard and legal park or neighborhood parking. School events, tournaments, YMCA activity, and construction can fill the closest spaces.

The park is open sunrise to sunset. Courts, fields, school activities, programs, and construction areas use separate schedules.

General park, playground, track when open, and casual recreation access are free. Court programs, leagues, field reservations, and organized activities may charge or reserve space.

Restrooms and drinking fountains are listed park features, but access may vary with maintenance, field activity, and construction.

Renovated entrances, paths, seating walls, lighting, parking, and developed recreation areas improve access, but slopes and construction detours can change the best route.

The park's running and walking track is about 1.1 miles. Beginning August 3, 2026, the track closes for resurfacing and drainage repairs; other park routes are not equivalent substitutes.

Families can use the playground, open areas, picnic shelters, ball fields, and courts when available. Expect school and tournament traffic at peak times.

Dogs must be leashed outside any specifically designated dog facility; Hanes Park does not list an off-leash dog park. Keep pets off active courts and fields.
