Raleigh Union Station

Use the metered spaces at the station only for short visits of three hours or less. For a train trip or any stay longer than three hours, the City recommends The Dillon Parking Deck directly across West Street at 223 S. West Street. Other downtown decks are farther away. Parking is paid, and Amtrak does not guarantee space availability.

Approach from West Street and use the station traffic circle for passenger drop-off in front of the building. The main station entrance is at 510 W. Martin Street. From the drop-off area, an accessible barrier-free route continues through the station to the train platform.

Yes. Amtrak lists restrooms, including accessible restrooms, inside the staffed station. Restroom access follows station waiting-room hours rather than the outdoor plaza schedule, so do not assume the building remains open between all late-night or early-morning trips.

The station is operating as a staffed Amtrak stop, but a static place page cannot confirm a specific train's same-day status. Check Amtrak or NC By Train immediately before leaving for delays, cancellations, platform instructions, or temporary facility impacts. Arrive at least 30 minutes early, or 60 minutes early when checking baggage or needing ticketing or passenger assistance.
