Riverwalk Crossing Park

421 Court Street, Jacksonville, NC 28540. The downtown waterfront route continues toward L.P. Willingham Park, Kerr Street Park, and Riverwalk Marina at 15 Kerr Street.

Use legal downtown public parking near Court Street and walk into the park. Event days can close streets or repurpose nearby spaces; vehicles are not allowed on the grass or paved park areas.

The City lists Riverwalk Crossing Park as open daily from 7 am to 9 pm. Scheduled festivals, stage events, setup, weather, waterfront conditions, and neighboring marina operations can affect access.

General park and waterfront-walk access is free. Festivals may have vendors or paid activities, and stage, marina, shelter, or organized uses may require reservations and fees.

Do not assume a restroom is immediately beside every section of the Riverwalk. Facilities may be available at nearby downtown recreation or marina nodes during their operating hours; plan ahead for large events.

The core park uses paved downtown and waterfront approaches. Event barriers, lawn areas, curb transitions, marina grades, and temporary vendor layouts can change the easiest step-free route.

Landscaped walkways lead toward the New River and connect with the broader downtown waterfront network. Treat this as an urban waterfront walk rather than a long natural trail.

The river view, open lawn, gardens, gazebo connection, and seasonal festivals work well for a short family visit. There is no conventional playground listed at this park; supervise children closely at the water's edge.

Leashed pets are allowed where posted, with a maximum six-foot leash. Remove waste and avoid event crowds, stage areas, landscaped beds, and waterfront edges when conditions are unsafe.

Use designated seating and nearby waterfront gathering areas without blocking paths or event setup. Organized use of the stage or park requires City coordination.

Orientation points include the Court Street entrance, public stage, long garden area, New River waterfront, downstream gazebo, nearby L.P. Willingham Park, Kerr Street Park, and Riverwalk Marina.

Oktoberfest, Winterfest, National Night Out, other festivals, stage reservations, storm conditions, flood or waterfront work, and event setup may limit normal access or parking.
