Choose a mapped trailhead such as Country Park, Lewis Recreation Center, Guilford Courthouse National Military Park, Bur-Mil Park, or another official access point based on the open section.

Use the greenway during posted daylight trail hours. Individual parks, trailheads, and connected facilities use separate schedules.

General walking, running, and bicycling access is free. Programs, rentals, parking at adjacent attractions, and connected facilities may charge separately.

Restrooms are tied to connected parks and staffed facilities rather than being continuous along the greenway. Plan around a confirmed-open stop.

The principal greenway is paved, but trailhead design, grades, bridge approaches, detours, and connected natural trails vary. Verify the selected access point.

This is a paved multiple-use greenway for walking and bicycling, with connections into the wider Battleground and watershed trail network.

Families can select a shorter segment near Country Park or another developed trailhead. Teach children to keep right, announce passes, and stop clear of bicycle traffic.

Leashed dogs may use shared greenway sections subject to posted rules. Keep leashes short around bicycles and remove all waste.

Use picnic facilities at connected parks such as Country Park or Bur-Mil rather than blocking the linear trail or trailheads.

The route connects the Battleground Parks District, Country Park, Guilford Courthouse area, Lake Brandt vicinity, Bur-Mil Park, and northern communities.

The northern trestle bridge between Bur-Mil Park and Strawberry Road remains a critical section-specific closure. Check the City greenway page and do not plan a through-route across a posted closure.
