Choose the correct side of Avon Creek. Chestnut Street parking is best for the playground, memorial, eastern shelters, restroom, and greenway; Avon Street parking is best for the pool, splash pad, basketball, and western shelters.

The general park is open daily dawn to dusk. Lighted facilities, the summer pool, splash pad, shelters, restrooms, and events operate independently. The miniature train is closed indefinitely.

General park, playground, memorial, paved paths, greenway, basketball, and picnic access are free. Summer pool sessions cost $4 per person age one and older; reservations, concessions, and programs may charge separately.

A restroom and water-fountain building serves the eastern node. The pool house has showers, changing space, restrooms, and concessions during pool operations; the western ticket-booth building also includes restrooms subject to operating conditions.

Paved paths connect parking, the memorial, playground, shelters, restrooms, and greenway. The pool has zero-depth entry, while creek crossings, older park grades, individual play features, and event routes vary.

Paved walking paths circle park features and connect to the Avon/Catawba Creeks Greenway. The creek divides the park, so use the bridge and correct parking node rather than assuming every facility is adjacent.

The playground, picnic areas, pool with lazy river and slide, splash pad, basketball, memorial loop, and greenway support varied visits. The miniature train should not be promised because it is closed indefinitely.

Keep dogs leashed and controlled in allowed areas, remove waste, and keep pets outside playground and aquatic surfaces, buildings, crowded shelters, and active courts.

Each side has a large shelter and smaller shelters, plus a gazebo on the eastern side. Reserve for guaranteed group use and select the side nearest your main activity.

The miniature train is closed indefinitely. The splash pad is currently closed under drought-related water restrictions; pool operation is seasonal and session-based. Construction, events, weather, and greenway work may affect other access.
