Tanglewood Park

4061 Clemmons Road, Clemmons, NC 27012. Enter through the main entrance from US 158; GPS can incorrectly route visitors to an inaccessible rear side of the park.

Use the US 158 main entrance at 4061 Clemmons Road and follow internal signs for the exact feature. Do not follow GPS directions to the inaccessible rear boundary.

General day-use areas are open sunrise to sunset unless posted otherwise; the playgrounds are open daily 7 a.m. to dusk. Golf, tennis, stables, pool, campground, offices, rentals, and events use separate schedules.

Current vehicle entrance is $2 for personal vehicles and $8 for passenger vans and buses. Golf, aquatics, camping, stables, rentals, programs, and events have additional fees; motorcycles are prohibited.

Public restrooms are available at both playground areas and other developed facilities. Hours vary around golf, aquatics, camping, rentals, and seasonal operations.

The park provides developed roads, parking, paved routes, playground and picnic facilities, but its large footprint, historic areas, natural trails, stable terrain, and individual attractions vary.

Tanglewood includes paved and natural routes plus designated bridle trails. Class 1 and 2 e-bikes are allowed only on paved trails, and horses are limited to marked bridle routes.

Two year-round playgrounds near Shelter 4 and Mallard Lake, public picnic areas, gardens, trails, seasonal aquatics, horses, and events make this a multi-destination family park.

Use Tanglewoof Dog Park only when its status line confirms it is open. Dogs elsewhere must follow leash rules; maintenance can temporarily close the off-leash area.

Public picnic areas and restrooms sit beside both playgrounds, and reservable shelters support groups. The playgrounds themselves remain public and cannot be reserved exclusively.

Major destinations include Mallard Lake, Shelter 4 playground, Tanglewoof Dog Park, Arboretum and Rose Garden, golf courses, stables, aquatics center, campground, and historic estate landscape.

Weather, maintenance, Festival of Lights traffic, tournaments, dog-park work, and seasonal facilities can change access. Check the exact attraction and dog-park status before traveling.
