Trail of History is a named route within Little Sugar Creek Greenway; use this mapped trailhead and confirm grade, surface, closures and return distance.

There is no single greenway lot. Choose a section first: Midtown uses nearby public or paid parking, Freedom and Park Road parks have free lots, and Tyvola Road has a dedicated southern access. Never assume private retail parking permits trail use.

Use the greenway during posted daylight access hours. Construction, flooding, bridge work, events and the schedules of connecting parks can alter section access. This feature may have shorter, seasonal or daylight-only hours.

Restrooms are tied to selected connected parks and businesses rather than continuously available along the route. Plan a known open stop and carry water for longer trips.

Walking, running and bicycling on the public greenway are free. Parking, transit, food, rentals, adjacent attractions and events may charge.

Much of the principal route is paved and suitable for mobility devices, but grades, street crossings, bollards, flooding and construction detours vary by segment. Start from a mapped accessible parking point when that is essential.

Leashed dogs may use the shared greenway. Keep leashes short around bicycles and runners, yield at narrow points and remove all waste.

Short sections through Midtown, Freedom Park and Park Road Park combine trail time with play, lawns and restrooms. Children should stay to the right, stop before crossings and remain close beside the creek.

The urban segment connects well to CATS bus, rail and CityLYNX Gold Line service. Transit usefulness varies sharply farther south, so plan a section-specific trip.
