Lake Cammack Park and Marina

4790 Union Ridge Road, Burlington, NC 27217. Enter through the staffed marina gate for boat ramps, accessible fishing pier, bank fishing, playground, two-mile hiking trail, Civitan shelter and building, and Camp Green Leaves area.

Use signed marina parking and preserve boat-trailer spaces for launch users. The playground, fishing, trail, shelter, building, and camp areas are spread around the developed property.

The lake is closed every Wednesday and Thursday. In 2026 hours vary seasonally from 8 am-5 pm in winter to 6:30 am-8 pm in summer; January and December are open Saturday-Tuesday only. Park and trail access ends 30 minutes before the gate, and launching ends 90 minutes before closing.

Private boat launch is $10 for adults and $7 for seniors; kayak, canoe, or SUP launch is $7/$5; bank or pier fishing is $3/$2. Season passes, shelter, Civitan Building, pool rentals, and programs have separate fees.

Restrooms serve the marina and developed rental or recreation area during operating hours. The gated property is unavailable on weekly closure days and overnight.

The fishing pier is identified as accessible, with developed parking and building approaches. The natural hiking trail, bank-fishing areas, docks, water levels, and boat-transfer conditions vary.

A two-mile hiking trail offers forest, shoreline, deer, and bird-viewing opportunities. Bikes are not permitted on pedestrian walkways; finish before the trail closes 30 minutes ahead of the gate.

The playground, accessible fishing pier, trail, picnic facilities, wildlife, and lake views support family visits. Swimming and wading are prohibited because Lake Cammack is a public drinking-water reserve.

Keep dogs leashed where allowed, remove waste, and keep pets away from playgrounds, buildings, Camp Green Leaves activities, docks, fishing lines, and protected water-supply areas.

The Civitan open-air shelter and Civitan Building are rentable, with additional picnic options. Reservations do not override marina closure days, gate hours, events, or weather shutdowns.
