Kelly Road Park

1609 Kelly Road, Apex, NC 27502. This is also a developed access point for the Beaver Creek Greenway, with parking, restrooms, playgrounds, courts, field, and shelter nearby.

Use the on-site Kelly Road lot for the playgrounds, shelter, courts, softball field, restrooms, and Beaver Creek Greenway. Peak league and playground periods can fill the closest spaces; use only signed public parking.

The Town lists the park as open daily from 6:30 am to 10 pm year-round. The connecting Beaver Creek Greenway is open dawn to dusk, and fields, courts, restrooms, renovation work, and reservations may have separate availability.

General park, playground, court, trail, and picnic access is free. Shelter, field, programs, leagues, and organized uses may require reservations or fees.

Restroom facilities are available near the developed recreation area. Renovation assessments and future KidsTowne work may temporarily change access, so check current Town notices.

Developed paths connect much of the park and the greenway trailhead. The KidsTowne renovation is intended to update the playground area; construction, older play features, court access, and greenway transitions may vary.

Kelly Road Park is a trailhead for the paved Beaver Creek Greenway, currently extending toward Jaycee Park through boardwalk, asphalt, concrete, and neighborhood connections. Greenway hours are dawn to dusk; plan an out-and-back unless you arrange a pickup.

Two age-banded playgrounds, the loop connections, shelter, courts, field, and greenway make this a flexible family stop. Check renovation status before promising a particular KidsTowne feature.

Leashed dogs may use permitted park and greenway areas. Keep leashes short around cyclists and play areas, remove waste, and stay outside playgrounds, fields, courts, buildings, and other posted restricted spaces.

A reservable picnic shelter with a grill serves the park. Reserve for guaranteed group use and keep the greenway clear when gathering nearby.

Key reference points are the KidsTowne playground area, younger- and older-child play zones, picnic shelter, softball field, full-size and junior tennis/pickleball courts, basketball court, restroom, and Beaver Creek Greenway trailhead.

The KidsTowne playground renovation is in design, with completion still to be determined. The playground remains subject to future construction impacts; weather, field work, restroom work, and greenway maintenance can also affect individual facilities.
