Apex Nature Park and Seymour Athletic Fields

Apex Nature Park entrance: 2600 Evans Road, Apex, NC 27502, for the amphitheater, disc golf, dog park, trails, large shelter, and restroom. Seymour Athletic Fields entrance: 2500 Evans Road for the playground, courts, fields, small shelter, trails, and restroom.

There are lots at both Evans Road entrances. Use 2600 Evans Road for the Nature Park amenities and 2500 Evans Road for Seymour Athletic Fields; a paved walkway connects the sections, but choosing the correct lot saves a long cross-park walk.

The park is listed as open 5:30 am to 10 pm year-round; fields, courts, and restrooms open at 6:30 am. Programs, reservations, the dog park, amphitheater events, and athletic schedules may control access to individual facilities.

General park, trail, playground, disc-golf, court, and amphitheater-lawn access is generally free when not reserved. Dog-park use requires registration, and shelters, fields, programs, and events may require reservations or fees.

Each section has a restroom facility, generally opening at 6:30 am. Event, maintenance, and seasonal conditions may affect building availability.

Paved paths connect major developed features and the two sections. Parking is available at both entrances; natural trails, disc-golf terrain, lawn seating, and individual play or athletic surfaces vary.

The site has paved and natural multi-use trails, including the self-guided Apex Natural Heritage Trail with ten interpretive stops between Seymour Athletic Fields and the amphitheater. Follow signs to distinguish the connecting route from disc-golf fairways.

For playgrounds and court play, start at 2500 Evans Road. For the amphitheater, environmental stations, a walk, or disc golf, start at 2600 Evans Road. The connecting heritage trail can turn the two halves into one longer visit.

The registered dog park is on the 2600 Evans Road Nature Park side. Elsewhere keep dogs leashed, remove waste, and avoid playgrounds, fields, courts, buildings, and disc-golf play lines as posted.

A large shelter is on the Nature Park side and a small shelter is near Seymour Athletic Fields. Reserve for guaranteed group use and direct guests to the matching entrance.

Nature Park landmarks include the amphitheater, disc-golf course, dog park, environmental stations, solar-served restroom, large shelter, and heritage trail. Seymour landmarks include the playground, multipurpose fields, tennis and pickleball courts, sand volleyball, small shelter, and restroom.

Athletic fields may close for turf renovation, weather, or reservations. Dog-park registration, amphitheater events, maintenance, and field schedules can limit specific amenities even while the broader park remains open.
