Saint Louis Zoo

The Saint Louis Zoo offers free general admission and full-day animal exhibits; its north and south lots are paid and cashless, while limited park street spaces are free.

Leashed dogs are welcome in ordinary outdoor park areas. Pets are restricted from zoo grounds, museums, the Nature Playscape and posted facilities or events; service-animal rules vary by institution.

The free Zoo and museums, Nature Playscape, Turtle Playground, lakes, seasonal trolley and wide lawns make Forest Park a premier family destination, but trying to cover the whole park in one visit is unrealistic.
