Citygarden Sculpture Park

Open daily sunrise-10:00 p.m., year-round. The Children's Spray Plaza operates seasonally, generally Memorial Day weekend-Labor Day from 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m., subject to weather and maintenance.

Use metered curb parking or downtown garages. Nearby meters are generally enforced Monday-Saturday 8:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. with two-hour limits; event restrictions and garage rates vary.

Citygarden occupies Market Street between Eighth and Tenth streets. Enter from either block and use the sculpture map for named works; the spray plaza is the family destination rather than the reflecting pools.

Citygarden does not provide a dependable full-service restroom building. Plan around open downtown businesses, libraries, museums or other public facilities before settling in with children.

Garden admission, sculpture viewing, lawns and the seasonal spray plaza are free. Parking, nearby food, tours and downtown events cost separately.

Broad paved routes cross both blocks and most works can be viewed from accessible paths. Wet spray-plaza surfaces, curb approaches, lawn grades, crowds and winter conditions can affect movement.

Leashed dogs may use ordinary outdoor paths under posted city rules. Keep pets out of the children's spray plaza, reflecting pools, plant beds, sculpture and food areas.

The spray plaza, colorful large-scale works, open lawns and compact two-block layout make an easy family stop. Caregivers remain responsible around water and sculpture; only the spray plaza is designed for public water play.

MetroLink's 8th & Pine and Civic Center connections plus downtown buses place Citygarden within an easy walk. It also links naturally with the Arch, Old Courthouse and downtown library.

Split Basin and Voyager Pool are visual water features, not swimming or wading areas. Use only the marked Children's Spray Plaza for water play and verify seasonal operation before changing children into swim clothes.

Check the St. Louis forecast for thunderstorms, tornado or wind alerts, heat and air quality, flooding, ice, and current operator notices. Water features, wildlife drives, trails, river access, cruises, events and outdoor attractions can close independently as conditions change.
