Jacob L. Loose Park

Park grounds are open daily 5:00 a.m.-midnight. In 2026 the sprayground operates May 23-September 7 daily 11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.; gardens and programmed facilities may keep separate hours.

Free curb and lot parking surrounds the park, with the busiest demand near the Rose Garden and playground. Respect neighborhood restrictions and event closures.

Use Wornall Road for the Rose Garden and Garden Center side or choose a closer edge for the pond, playground, sprayground or tennis courts.

Facilities are available near developed recreation and garden areas when open; do not assume late-night restroom access.

General park, trail, pond, garden viewing and sprayground admission are free. Reservations, classes, tennis programs and permitted events may charge.

The paved loop and formal garden approaches are broadly accessible; lawn grades, garden paths and older edges can vary.

Leashed dogs are welcome in ordinary park areas but must stay out of restricted garden beds, water-play areas and posted facilities.

The playground, pond and seasonal sprayground make an easy family circuit; the Rose Garden is a formal space with stricter event and food rules.

RideKC routes and nearby neighborhood bikeways serve the Country Club Plaza and Loose Park area.

Food, picnics, grills and commercial photography are restricted in the Rose Garden itself. Weddings and organized photography require permission; use ordinary park lawns for casual picnics.

Check current Kansas City metro weather and operator alerts. Missouri River conditions, flash flooding, lake status, heat, severe storms, snow, ice and high winds can close trails or facilities independently.
