Minneapolis Sculpture Garden

The Sculpture Garden is free and open daily 6:00 a.m.-midnight year-round. Walker galleries, cafe, restrooms, tours, programs, and indoor services keep shorter schedules and holiday closures.

Paid underground parking is entered from Vineland Place, with nearby metered streets and a surface lot. Accessible spaces are on ramp level P1 with a direct Walker connection.

Garden entrances are on Vineland Place and Bryant Avenue. Start near Spoonbridge and Cherry for the lower garden or use the switchback path for the Wurtele Upper Garden and Walker campus.

Dependable public restrooms are inside Walker Art Center during gallery hours; the outdoor garden remains open much longer, so plan accordingly.

The Sculpture Garden and digital guide are always free. Walker gallery admission for adults, parking, cafe purchases, private tours, performances, and events cost separately; visitors 18 and under enter Walker galleries free.

Accessible entrances, paved central and perimeter paths, and a switchback route serve the garden. Some sculptures and programs require crossing grass or gravel surfaces.

Leashed dogs may use outdoor public paths under posted rules, but only service animals enter Walker indoor spaces. Keep animals away from artworks and planted beds.

Iconic sculptures, free digital interpretation, lawns, and summer art-making make an easy family visit. Children may look closely but must not climb or touch works unless signage permits.

Metro Transit lines 4, 25, and E Line stop within a short walk; biking, walking from Loring Park, rideshare, and paid parking are straightforward.

The outdoor garden's hours do not mean the museum, cafe, restrooms, or visitor desk are open. Check weather and program updates, and use the official digital guide rather than relying on outdated artwork lists.

Check the Twin Cities forecast for thunderstorms, heat or air-quality alerts, wind, snow, ice, extreme cold, flooding, and current park notices. Beaches, water features, trails, ski routes, river access, concessions, and outdoor attractions can close independently as conditions change.
