Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway

The Greenway is open 7 a.m.-11 p.m. Carousel, fountains, food vendors, drinkeries, markets, and events use separate seasonal schedules.

There is no public parking on the Greenway. Use nearby garages, Atlantic Avenue meters, transit, ferries, walking, or cycling; rates and event restrictions vary.

Choose Chinatown/Dewey Square, Wharf District and Rings Fountain, Carousel/Harbor side, or North End parks before traveling. The full park is 1.5 miles long.

The linear park does not provide continuous dedicated restroom coverage. Use confirmed-open public facilities at adjacent transportation, market, harbor, or cultural destinations.

Park, gardens, fountains, public art, and most Conservancy events are free. Carousel rides are currently $4; food, drinks, parking, and special programs cost separately.

All Greenway paths are maintained as ADA-compliant, and the Carousel uses universal design for physical, sensory, and cognitive access.

Leashed dogs are allowed; clean up waste and keep pets out of garden beds. Smoking, alcohol outside permitted operations, and wheeled recreation on park paths are restricted.

Seven water attractions, the native-animal Carousel, lawns, art, food, and frequent free programs are family highlights. Fountain and event operations change daily.

South Station, Downtown Crossing, Haymarket, Government Center, Aquarium, State Street, North Station, buses, and ferries serve different sections.

Check the local forecast plus heat or wind chill, thunderstorms, snow and ice, high wind, air quality, and daylight. Waterfront places also require wind, tide, and water-condition checks; leave exposed water, fields, trees, and playgrounds when thunder is heard.
