This five-acre rose-family collection sits where Meadow, Bussey Hill, and Forest Hills roads meet. Grass paths between beds are not wheelchair accessible, and a focused visit usually takes 20 to 60 minutes.

Free street parking is available along Arborway, Flora Way, and Walter Street. Accessible spaces are at Arborway, Forest Hills, Walter Street, and Centre Street gates.

The landscape is open daily sunrise to sunset. The Hunnewell Visitor Center is generally open daily 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; programs and facilities can differ.

Accessible restrooms are in the Hunnewell Building from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; accessible portable restrooms are near Arborway Gate, Hemlock Hill Road, and Peters Hill.

Landscape admission, the Visitor Center, self-guided exploration, and general programs are free unless a specific event says otherwise.

Paved roads provide many routes, but natural terrain and trails vary. Reserved weekday driving permits and free manual wheelchairs support visitors with access needs.

Leashed dogs are welcome in the landscape under visitor guidelines; service animals are welcome in the landscape and Visitor Center. Protect collections and clean up waste.

Free family activities, labeled trees, wildlife, hills, and open exploration work well for children. Bring water and choose a shorter loop for strollers or young walkers.
