Holliday Park

Outdoor park grounds are open dawn to dusk. The Nature Center is open Monday-Saturday 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; building access, programs and holiday closures can differ from park hours.

Free parking is available in three lots: beside the playground, west of the Ruins and near the Nature Center. Select the lot for the destination rather than treating the general Spring Mill Road address as one arrival point.

From the south gate, turn right for the playground and left for the Ruins; continue toward the Nature Center lot for the staffed building. Use the exact destination pin for the Ruins or Nature Center.

The Nature Center provides the most reliable staffed restroom access during building hours. The Holliday Park Foundation reports maintained restrooms and drinking fountains near the Ruins, but availability can change with maintenance, events and winter conditions.

The operator describes free parking and does not post a general admission fee for ordinary park, Ruins, playground or Nature Center visits. Programs, rentals and special events may have separate charges.

The rebuilt playground includes accessible equipment and the developed destinations have paved approaches, but wooded trails, slopes and river-edge terrain vary. Confirm route-specific needs with the park before relying on a trail connection.

Indy Parks requires dogs to remain on a leash shorter than 20 feet outside designated dog parks. Follow posted rules at the Nature Center, playground, gardens and wildlife-sensitive areas, and remove waste.

The Nature Center's Habitat Hall and the inclusive playground support family visits, while the Ruins and trails require supervision around masonry, slopes and natural surfaces. Match the visit to building hours and weather.

The 2026 IndyGo system map shows service in the Spring Mill Road and nearby north-side corridors. Check the current trip planner for 6363 Spring Mill Road and allow for walking between the entrance, lots and selected destination.

The replacement playground opened November 2, 2025. Older playground photographs should not be used to set expectations. The Ruins reopened after revitalization in 2016 and remain an outdoor landmark rather than an indoor building.

Check National Weather Service Indianapolis forecasts and park notices. Rain, flooding near the White River, heat, lightning, high wind, snow and ice can affect trails, the Ruins and outdoor play even when the Nature Center keeps its normal schedule.
