Garfield Park Conservatory

Open Wednesday 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and Thursday-Sunday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; closed Monday and Tuesday. Last entry is 45 minutes before closing, and holidays can change hours.

Free visitor parking is available in the Conservatory lot and on legal nearby streets, but reservations and special events can fill the closest spaces.

Use the main entrance at 300 N. Central Park Avenue near Lake Street. The CTA Green Line Conservatory station is immediately beside the grounds.

Accessible visitor restrooms and drinking water are available inside during admission hours.

Chicago residents receive free admission with residency information; current nonresident admission is $10 adults and $5 seniors, with child and other categories shown during reservation. Timed entry is required.

The Conservatory is wheelchair accessible except for the historic Fern Room. The new children's garden includes a wheelchair-accessible spiral ramp and sensory-friendly area.

Pets are not allowed inside the Conservatory or children's garden. Service animals follow applicable access rules.

The indoor houses and new Elizabeth Morse Genius Children's Garden are strong year-round family options. The children's garden requires its own 30-minute reservation in addition to Conservatory entry.

The CTA Green Line Conservatory station is the most direct option, with buses on Lake Street and Central Park Avenue.

Reserve both general timed admission and a separate children's-garden slot when needed. Arrivals are accepted within 30 minutes of the reservation, and last entry precedes closing.

Check current heat, air quality, storms, wind, lake or river conditions, and operator alerts. Chicago weather can close water, beach, climbing, skating, garden, and event areas independently of general park hours.
