General city park hours are 6:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m. The recreation center, seasonal outdoor pool, Zoo Atlanta, fields, and reserved facilities use separate schedules.

Free curbside and limited park-area parking compete with Zoo Atlanta and events. Use the zoo deck when visiting the zoo, and expect neighborhood congestion during festivals.

Choose Cherokee Avenue for zoo-side destinations and Park Avenue for recreation-center and pool access; the park is split by roads and large enough that the exact entrance matters.
