Cascade Springs boardwalk

Boardwalk sections improve passage over wet ground but do not make every natural trail or landmark step-free.

Use the free lot at 2852 Cascade Road and read the gate-closing sign before hiking. A late return can leave a vehicle behind a locked gate.

The preserve is open daily during city park hours, but the parking gate may close much earlier than the park; current visitor guidance has listed 3:00 p.m. weekdays and 7:30 p.m. weekends for the vehicle gate.

A new accessible public restroom has been installed at the preserve, but verify current hours and access onsite before relying on it.

Preserve, trails, waterfall, picnic areas, and parking are free.

The entrance area and some boardwalk portions are improved, but natural trails include roots, mud, slopes, creek edges, and potentially slippery surfaces; not every landmark has a step-free route.

Leashed dogs are welcome; keep them out of waterways and under control around wildlife and narrow trails.

A memorable short nature outing for children who can manage uneven trails, but close supervision is essential around slippery rocks, water, and drop-offs.
