Outdoor park areas generally follow posted City park hours. The splash pad normally runs April-October from 9:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. and November-March from 10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.; event spaces and organized athletics keep separate schedules.

Use the onsite lots and legal spaces reached from North Boulevard, choosing the north end for dog and boat access or central/south areas for play and athletics. Festivals and tournaments can sharply reduce availability.

The park is long rather than compact. Choose the Play Cove and splash pad, River Center, dog park and docks, Festival Lawn or sports courts before arriving instead of navigating only to the general pin.

Restrooms are available in developed park facilities, with the most dependable access near the main activity and event areas. Building access can vary around private events.

General park, playground, splash pad, courts, lawns, public art and dog park are free. Reservations, programs, food, water taxi service and special events may charge.

Paved routes connect major facilities, and the park is a City pilot location for Lazarillo inclusive digital navigation for blind visitors. Confirm the closest parking for the feature you need.

Leashed dogs are welcome in ordinary outdoor areas. Separate large- and small-dog sections are at the north end; dogs should stay out of play and splash areas.

The fenced play cove serves ages 2-12 and combines shaded equipment and seating with a large splash bucket nearby. Pack dry clothes and confirm water operation on cool or stormy days.

HART routes serve North Boulevard and downtown connections, while Riverwalk routes and water taxi stops reach the river edge. Check event detours before relying on the closest stop.

There is little reason to cross the whole 25 acres if you choose the right arrival point. Summer heat and lightning affect exposed lawns and water access, and special events can reserve or fence major spaces.
