Picnic pavilions

Picnic pavilions is a distinct visitor destination within Barber Park. Families should navigate to the splash playground and inclusive playground area, while sports visitors should confirm the assigned field or court and dog visitors should use the fenced dog area.

Use the free Gatlin Avenue lots and choose the playground/splash pad, dog park, fields, courts, skate area, or pavilions before parking; the 81-acre park has separated activity zones.

Open daily 8 a.m.-8 p.m. in summer and 8 a.m.-6 p.m. in winter. The splash pad uses four sessions: 10-11:45 a.m., noon-1:45 p.m., 3-4:45 p.m., and 5-6:45 p.m., with a 2-3 p.m. closure.

Public restrooms serve the developed recreation complex. Locate them before entering the timed splash session or heading to a remote field.

General park, playground, splash pad, dog park, trails, and open recreation access are free. Reservations and organized programs may cost.

The county lists an inclusive playground, paved fitness path, developed parking, pavilions, and recreation facilities; individual sports and splash surfaces vary.

Leashed pets are allowed in general areas and an off-leash dog park is provided. Keep dogs out of the playground, splash pad, and active athletic areas.

Driving and rideshare are simplest. Bus service in the Conway area may still require a walk along busy roads; confirm the final pedestrian route before relying on transit.
