A small amount of car parking is listed, but the Southbank setting and nearby development can make access tight. Read every curb and lot sign and consider walking from a legal Southbank space.

Navigate to 1123 Prudential Drive, then follow the park entrance to Treaty Oak. Do not confuse this destination with other Jacksonville oak landmarks or assume every nearby private lot permits park parking.

The official amenity list does not include restrooms. Plan around nearby public or staffed Southbank facilities rather than expecting one beneath the tree.

Ordinary park, picnic-table, lawn, and Treaty Oak viewing access is free. Nearby parking, food, events, and private attractions cost separately.

Developed entrances and paths provide access toward the tree and picnic area. Roots, low limbs, lawn, construction, and tree-protection barriers can limit the closest approach.

Keep dogs leashed and under close control unless current signs explicitly provide otherwise. Protect the tree's root zone and keep pets away from picnics, low branches, and restoration areas.

The enormous low limbs and shaded lawn create a memorable short stop, but this is not a playground. Children must not climb, hang from, carve, or damage the historic tree.

JTA and Southbank pedestrian connections may avoid limited parking. Confirm the safest current crossing from the Riverwalk or transit stop because construction can alter the final block.

The Treaty Oak name comes from a 1930s newspaper story rather than a documented treaty. The genuine significance is the approximately 250-year-old live oak and the long preservation effort surrounding it.

Check heat index, thunderstorms, tropical-weather alerts, and Southbank construction notices. Never shelter beneath a large tree during lightning or high wind.
