Confluence Park

Denver urban parks are open daily 5:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m. Buildings, restrooms, water features, attractions, events, and seasonal recreation use separate schedules.

Nearby parking is limited and mostly paid; Union Station, bike trails, walking, and transit are often easier than driving.

Shoemaker Plaza and the 15th Street side provide the clearest first arrival; trail users can approach from Cherry Creek or the South Platte corridor.

Public restroom availability is limited; plan around confirmed open downtown facilities rather than relying on the riverfront.

Park, river steps, beach, and trails are free; rentals, food, parking, and events cost separately.

Paved trails and plaza routes serve the park, while water edges, sand, wet steps, and changing river conditions are not universally accessible.

Leashed dogs are allowed on trails and lawns; keep them under control near cyclists, crowds, and river wildlife.

Children enjoy the beach and water view, but the river is moving natural water with variable depth, temperature, debris, and quality.

Union Station and downtown buses are nearby; the park is a major junction for the Cherry Creek and South Platte trails.

There is no lifeguard: this is an active river and unsupervised water area, not a pool. Avoid entering during high flow, storms, poor water quality, or icy conditions, and never leave children unattended.

Check Denver's hourly temperature, UV index, wind, lightning, air quality, snow and ice. High elevation sun is intense, afternoon storms form quickly, and exposed lakes, lawns, hills, and river corridors can feel much colder or hotter than nearby streets.
