Denver urban parks are open daily 5:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m. Buildings, restrooms, water features, attractions, events, and seasonal recreation use separate schedules.

Use paid downtown garages, meters, transit, or bike parking; government business, festivals, protests, and construction frequently affect streets.

Use Broadway for the state-capitol side or Bannock Street and Colfax for McNichols, library, and city-building access.

McNichols has public restrooms generally 8:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m. daily; library and government-building restrooms follow their own hours and security rules.

Outdoor park access is free; museums, parking, food, and ticketed events may charge.

Paved plazas and accessible McNichols courtyard routes serve the core, but event fencing and construction can reroute access.

Leashed dogs are allowed in general outdoor areas unless events impose restrictions.

Useful for architecture, festivals, library and museum visits, but not a contained playground destination.

Civic Center Station, frequent buses, downtown bike lanes, and nearby light rail make transit preferable to driving.

Large events and demonstrations can close lawns, Bannock Street, and entrances. Confirm the daily event and construction status before a precise visit.

Check Denver's hourly temperature, UV index, wind, lightning, air quality, snow and ice. High elevation sun is intense, afternoon storms form quickly, and exposed lakes, lawns, hills, and river corridors can feel much colder or hotter than nearby streets.
