City Park

Denver urban parks are open daily 5:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m. Buildings, restrooms, water features, attractions, events, and seasonal recreation use separate schedules.

Free park roads and lots serve different destinations, but zoo, museum, events, and summer evenings fill them; navigate to the exact subsite.

Use Colorado Boulevard for the museum and zoo side, or York Street and 17th Avenue for the lake, pavilion, and western lawns.

Restrooms depend on park portalets and separately operated zoo, museum, pavilion, and event facilities; do not assume ticketed attractions provide public access.

General park access is free; museum, zoo, food, rentals, programs, and events charge separately.

Paved roads and walks reach major destinations, but long distances and event controls make the nearest parking area important.

Leashed dogs are allowed in general park areas but not inside ticketed attractions, playgrounds, or active fields.

Ferril Lake is not a swimming area. Summer storms, heat, large events, and attraction traffic can change parking and path access quickly.

Check Denver's hourly temperature, UV index, wind, lightning, air quality, snow and ice. High elevation sun is intense, afternoon storms form quickly, and exposed lakes, lawns, hills, and river corridors can feel much colder or hotter than nearby streets.
