Cheesman Park

Denver urban parks are open daily 5:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m. Buildings, restrooms, water features, attractions, events, and seasonal recreation use separate schedules.

Use legal neighborhood curb parking or the small accessible area south of the pavilion; Botanic Gardens parking is for its visitors and events can fill surrounding blocks.

The pavilion is the clearest central meeting point; use the east edge for Denver Botanic Gardens and the south side for accessible parking.

Restroom availability is limited and often seasonal or portable; the Botanic Gardens is a separate ticketed facility.

General park access is free; Denver Botanic Gardens, reservations, and programmed events charge separately.

An ADA parking area sits south of the pavilion and paved paths reach the central memorial, though lawns and some edges are uneven.

Leashed dogs are common on the loop and lawn; clean up waste and avoid event-controlled areas.

Best for open-lawn play, picnics, walking, and people watching rather than destination playground equipment.

Local buses serve surrounding avenues and the park is bike accessible from central neighborhoods.

Cheesman is an open neighborhood park with limited guaranteed restrooms and shade on the central lawn. Afternoon lightning and intense sun deserve planning.
